The main task facing the public authorities is preparation of technical regulations (TR) which would cover different kinds of products, types of hazards (risks) and that are formed on the basis of scientific data or technically supported criteria proceeding from good practice.

The majority of technical regulations are based on the EU Directives and Regulations.

In selecting objects, safety requirements to which should be regulated through technical regulations, the works being realized in this direction in different integration organizations where the Republic of Belarus is a member-state, including the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Community were taken into account.
