Belarus has always paid special attention to quality issues. It is a vital issue for our country, because 50 % of the gross domestic product is exported.
The vectors of this work are outlined in the Program “Quality 2021 – 2025” approved by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Yury Nazarov. These vectors are closely connected with the program documents as regards the national development and Eurasian economic integration in the current five-year period. The Program “Quality 2021 – 2025” is also included in the Program of Activities of the Government for 2021 - 2025.
The implementation of more than 30 actions in four sections is envisaged: “Technical norm-setting, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation”; “Competence in the field of quality and effective management”; “Motivation, encouragement and promotion of quality and business excellence ideas”; “Quality improvement in industries”.
These actions are aimed at stimulating the manufacture of quality and competitive products, establishing up-to-date product requirements, developing testing capacities, and enhancing professional knowledge and quality culture in general.
The main implementers are 12 governmental authorities.
Sections on quality will also be included in the programs for the development of industries with the establishment of target indicators and output product quality indexes, and then they will be included in the business plan of each enterprise. This end-to-end approach will provide Belarus’ quality with new points of growth and recognition.
