Cooperation with international and regional organizations

Issues of cooperation with international organizations and interstate entities are regulated by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of November 21, 2017, No. 877.

Gosstandart is the main Republican body of state administration of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the following international and regional organizations:

  International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML)
  International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
  International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
  International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
  International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)
  International Accreditation Forum (IAF)
  International Halal Accreditation Forum (IHAF)
  International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM)
  Euro-Asian Cooperation of National Metrological Institutions (COOMET)
European Committee for Standardization (CEN)
European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC)
European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA)

United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) в рамках:

  • the Committee on Sustainable Energy (overall coordination)
  • Steering Committee on Capacity and Trade Standards (standardization and technical regulation issues)
  • Inland Transport Committee (safety and wheeled vehicle design issues)
Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC)
  Eurasian Economic Commission (ЕEC)

Participation in the activities of these organizations contributes to the development and implementation of best practices and technologies in relevant areas, elimination of technical barriers to trade, strengthening the image of the state and confidence in Belarusian products, as well as promoting the interests of the country on the international scene.
