In accordance with Article 43 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 24 October 2016 No. 437-З "On conformity assessment of technical requirements and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies" as amended by the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On amendment of laws" of 18 December 2019, the objectives of accreditation are the following:

• ensuring the implementation of a unified technical policy in the field of conformity assessment;
• ensuring confidence of applicants for certification, applicants for testing and consumers of products, works and services to the activities of accredited entities;
• creating conditions for mutual recognition of the results of accredited entities at the international and interstate (regional) level.
