The calibration is applied to the new measuring instruments and measuring instruments, which have undergone a repair, are in-service and imported to the Republic of Belarus.

The calibration of measuring instruments intended for use or used in legal metrology is performed under the contract by the legal bodies as part of the state metrological service or by the legal bodies other than that mentioned above having sufficient accreditation to perform calibration.

The time intervals between calibrations of measuring instruments used in legal metrology are specified by the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.

The calibration of measuring instruments used outside of legal metrology is performed by the legal bodies and individual entrepreneurs involved in manufacture, repair, sale, use, lend lease, including rental, of measuring instruments or under the contract by other legal bodies and individual entrepreneurs.

The time intervals between calibrations of measuring instruments used outside of legal metrology are specified by legal bodies, individual entrepreneurs or other individual users of the measuring instruments in question.

The results of calibration are given in the corresponding calibration certificate.
